 Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog today I’m introducing my group for my music video! I chose to work with my friend Hunter, I chose him because he would make the project really fun and he has a lot of good ideas for the video! He really enjoys media so he’s just as excited as me to do this project and put it all together for you guys!  The name of the song that we chose is Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. We both love that song and think it would make a great music video! It’s a classic and if overall very energetic and exciting to film! Genre Research-Romance!

     Welcome back viewers!! As you know we’ve been researching genres for our opening sequence, this blog will be about the romance genre! The setting cam be used to create a romantic atmosphere such as a candlelight dinner, a science beach view, or a city skyline. The setting can also be used to reflect the characters emotions and personalities.  Costumes can be used to convey the characters personalities social status and style. In a romance movie, costumes can be used to create a sense of intimacy and connection between the characters. Movies such as these may use a tuxedo and a nice dress for a night out or a casuals look for an evening dinner. Lightning can be used to tell the mood of the story such as a candlelight soft lighting or the warm glow of a sunset or sunrise. Lighting can be used to tell the actors emotions. Music Video-CCR

  1. Our music video included multiple conventions that we attempted to mimic from similar genre s of music and music video production. During our research process, we took note of the different features , such as camera angles, outfits, props, lighting, and over all emotion of the video and songs. Since our song specifically was more upbeat and energetic, we compared ours with very similar upbeat songs that proved to have the same type of loud costumes, physical props, and camera movement. We tried to mirror these features as much and as accurately as possible, with the resources we were able to use. Generally, our song had a storyline to it that made it very easy for us to mimic lyric by lyric. It was about the experience of coming to Los Angeles and being surrounded by such a different and intimidating environment, but then finding comfort in music and feeling more at home.
