1. Our music video included multiple conventions that we attempted to mimic from similar genre s of music and music video production. During our research process, we took note of the different features , such as camera angles, outfits, props, lighting, and over all emotion of the video and songs. Since our song specifically was more upbeat and energetic, we compared ours with very similar upbeat songs that proved to have the same type of loud costumes, physical props, and camera movement. We tried to mirror these features as much and as accurately as possible, with the resources we were able to use. Generally, our song had a storyline to it that made it very easy for us to mimic lyric by lyric. It was about the experience of coming to Los Angeles and being surrounded by such a different and intimidating environment, but then finding comfort in music and feeling more at home. The use of emotion portrayed by the star of our video, Billi, allowed this convention to be more esta...
Hey guys! Welcome back! So we have officially set up and figured out our props and how we’re planning on building our miniature set for our different scenes, which will mimic the pop music video style of the song. The set shown in our storyboard in our scenes, will be a dialed down version of what we are capable of doing, but we will work to make it just as fun as possible and as similar to the original as possible. So for the location, our original plan was to go to Fort Lauderdale airport, to record certain scènes, but we realized that we have some slight complications with that plan. We had an alternative airport to film at, but it is private and an executive airport so we also didn’t want to be too dependent on this one, because it might fall through. So we settled on one of the group members houses. Our props will try to mimic the video and setting as much as possible, but as I said, considering our original plan fell through, we will do the best we can to deliver the most ac...
Hey guys! We’ve made a lot of progress with our Final Task and decided to have someone review our film before we completely finish it, so that if any critical adjustments need to be made they’ll be done before submission. We had our parents watch our film without telling them the plot to see if it would make sense from someone who wasn’t already familiar with the storyline. We wanted feedback on wether or not it was understandable that the detective was the killer, considering that’s the entire point of the story. If it wasn’t clear we would most likely change certain scenes to make it more apparent. Both of our parents understood the plot and thought the editing we used, from inspiration from shows we’ve seen before, was very cool and CapCut helped us with concept a lot. We’re really looking forward to showing you guys our film!
