  1. Our music video included multiple conventions that we attempted to mimic from similar genre s of music and music video production. During our research process, we took note of the different features , such as camera angles, outfits, props, lighting, and over all emotion of the video and songs. Since our song specifically was more upbeat and energetic, we compared ours with very similar upbeat songs that proved to have the same type of loud costumes, physical props, and camera movement. We tried to mirror these features as much and as accurately as possible, with the resources we were able to use. Generally, our song had a storyline to it that made it very easy for us to mimic lyric by lyric. It was about the experience of coming to Los Angeles and being surrounded by such a different and intimidating environment, but then finding comfort in music and feeling more at home.  Hi guys! So as you know we’ve been working really hard on this video, and ran into some complications throughout the way with things such as location, editing, and props. But we managed to make a breakthrough and fix our editing issue which was that the song wasn’t aligning with the clips! It took a little bit of technical work but we got it down. Our location was compromised but we made it work and managed to work around that also. Our props were handmade but that makes it even more unique so we aren’t mad about it! The star of the video had a lot of fun working with us even though she isn’t a student, she had a great time and really pulled the whole video all together! We’re so excited for you guys to see the video in our next blog!! see you soon! 

 Hey guys! So as you know we completed recorded and filming. We started to use Capcut to edit and piece everything together but for some reason the one complication we ran into was that even after aligning the clips with the music, they weren’t staying aligned and it was kind of messed up. We re edited the video multiple times but we keep running into the problem of it not aligning which is the entire point of the video. And while having the lyrics tell a story seems like it would make filming easier because we just record based on what the song says to do, it makes editing a little more difficult because if the song doesn’t align perfectly with the clips, it doesn’t make any sense. We’re hoping to get this fixed soon and can’t wait for you guys to see!

  Hey guys! Welcome back! We’ve completely filmed our video and are working on putting it all together! We’re using the editing app Capcut to edit and clip everything together. We couldn’t use our original location which was supposed to be the airport but we made it work. We just followed the lyrics of the song and recorded based on that which was really helpful. Our group used one of the members little sister as the star of our video which she had a lot of fun with. We added our own unique touched to it while also following the format of the music videos we researched to make it as accurate as possible. We really are looking forward to you guys seeing it because we’ve worked so hard!! See you soon!
